A Message from Dr. Sarah
Your newborn relies on you for everything, and that includes healthy sleep. Unfortunately, far too many newborns and moms spend their first few months together overtired, stressed out, and unable to sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time. And no matter what your aunt, or your friend from the gym, or your chatty coworker tells you, there is no quick, easy answer to this problem. I know because I’ve lived through the same sleepless nights you’re dealing with now with my first child! That’s why I’ve worked to develop this class with all the strategies that I used with my second –– to ensure that moms and newborns can get started building healthy habits, sleep 6-8 hours straight a night and ENJOY the newborn stage. This is a no tears approach.
This class will help you AVOID having to do sleep training after 4 months of age.
Helping Newborns Sleep

✓ The knowledge to conquer nap time and see your baby waking up cooing and happy
✓ The skills to develop a flexible schedule that will guide you through the evolving stages of childhood.
✓ 1.5 hours of short video instruction to learn from at your own pace
✓ How to avoid long nap put downs and know when a nap is long enough. How to extend a nap if it's not long enough.
✓ Teach your baby to fall asleep in the crib rather than in arms.
✓ Become a sleep detective and learn to read your child's cues to find the root cause of what's bugging her.
✓ Learn how feeding patterns affect night time sleep.
✓ Learn how to know if it's hunger or something else bothering her in the night.
✓ Avoid the common trap of only having a baby that will sleep while being held.

This class is a “must have” for any expecting or new parents. The videos in the class were short, easy to follow and I could watch snippets quickly between feeds. I’ve learned the value of the flexible schedule, how to help her go to sleep faster and I’m a great sleep detective when trying to figure out why she’s having trouble with sleep. I’m much less stressed now that our baby falls asleep so much faster and I have more time in my day.

I found Helping Newborns Sleep to be very educational as a first time mom who didn’t know much about baby’s sleep and how it fits in with other things that are important for baby. Now I have confidence in my knowledge of baby’s nap times, how to help him help himself sleep, and when are the best times for baby to sleep. This has resulted in more consistent, longer naps but more importantly I am less anxious/irritable by the end of the day because baby and I have had some successes and I’ve had some time to myself.

I would say, Helping Newborns Sleep has been positively life changing, and one of the best parenting decisions I made for myself and my child. I view this course as a preventive tool for parents. Meaning, the course can help parents prevent their baby from learning habits and preferences that cause both the parents and baby stress. Parenting is stressful enough as is, you'll want the knowledge from this course in your tool box.
